OUR STORY

Built On Experience. Driven By Purpose.

After a long and successful career in the mining industry, the founders of Metalla Tutum Engineering recognised an opportunity to do things differently.

Having worked across a wide range of mining projects, operations and environments throughout Africa, they saw a recurring challenge: many mining opportunities had access to advice, but lacked the practical support, expertise and execution needed to turn that advice into action. This was particularly true for small-scale, micro-mining and emerging mining operations, where access to experienced technical and operational guidance was often limited.

In 2018, Metalla Tutum Engineering was established to bridge that gap.

Built on decades of combined industry experience, MTE was founded with a clear purpose: to help mining investors, owners and operators unlock the full potential of their projects through practical mining enablement, operational support and trusted partnership.

From the beginning, the vision has been to serve as an enabler of small-scale, micro-mining and emerging mining operations across Africa, helping transform opportunities into sustainable and successful mining businesses.

Today, MTE works alongside mining owners, investors, operators and emerging mining companies throughout South Africa and the broader African continent. By combining technical expertise, operational insight and commercial understanding, MTE helps clients move from mining advice to practical execution while building long-term value for all stakeholders involved.
