In partnership with our Dubai-based client, MTE played a key role in the development of a tin mining and mineral processing operation in Uganda. Building on the existing plant infrastructure, MTE's mineral processing team was engaged to assess and optimise the processing plant, redesign critical circuits, and manufacture additional equipment required to improve performance and support the plant's 30-ton-per-hour processing capacity.

From early 2022, MTE's mining engineering and procurement teams were deployed on site, providing a range of services including exploration activities, mine planning, site preparation, procurement support, and stakeholder engagement. Our teams worked closely with local communities and project stakeholders to support the successful advancement of the project and readiness for mining operations.

Following the completion of the plant optimisation programme and associated project development activities, MTE successfully handed the operation over to the client's in-house management and operational team. The engagement demonstrated MTE's ability to assess existing mining and processing infrastructure, identify and implement practical improvement opportunities, and support clients through critical development phases before transitioning operations to owner management.

This project highlights MTE's expertise in mineral processing optimisation, mining engineering, procurement, project development, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness across the mining value chain.
